Limitation of liability

The information on this site is provided in good faith for professional presentation purposes. The numerical examples in the experience and results sections reflect real projects; results for other clients may vary depending on the specific context of each project. Nothing on this site constitutes a firm contractual offer — any collaboration is formalized through a separate written contract.

Hosting and infrastructure

The site is hosted on Netlify, Inc. (USA, with EU infrastructure), and DNS is managed through Cloudflare, Inc. (USA). Both providers comply with the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and provide contractual guarantees through Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).

2. Privacy policy

This policy explains how Natural Soilutions S.R.L. ("we", "the operator") processes the personal data of visitors to refinedvalue.ro, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

2.1. What data we process

The categories of data that may be processed are limited, and we use them only for the purposes described:

  • Technical access data (IP, browser type, operating system, page requested, timestamp) — recorded automatically in server logs by the hosting provider. Used exclusively for security, error diagnostics and abuse protection.
  • Data submitted through site forms — the contact form and the diagnostic tools. May include: name, email, phone, company name, message content and the data you enter in the tool (e.g. type of business, software used, resulting estimates). Used exclusively to respond to your request and evaluate a possible collaboration. Collected via Netlify Forms.
  • Traffic analytics data (via Google Analytics 4) — only if you accept the cookie banner. Pseudonymized (IP anonymized) and used in aggregate, to understand which content is useful. If you decline, the site works identically.
  • Data you provide voluntarily through other channels (email, phone, LinkedIn) or by booking through Calendly (name, email, date/time) — when you contact us directly. Calendly data is also processed by Calendly LLC (USA), per their policy.

2.2. Legal basis for processing

  • Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — for technical security logs and for responding to B2B professional contact requests.
  • Performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) — for processing correspondence towards establishing a collaboration.
  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) — for analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4), enabled only after accepting the cookie banner, and for booking a session through Calendly.

2.3. How long we keep the data

  • Technical access logs: maximum 30 days, per the hosting provider's settings.
  • Contact correspondence: for the duration of the professional relationship, plus a reasonable period afterward (typically 3 years) for record-keeping and any accounting/tax requests.
  • Contractual data (if a collaboration is finalized): per legal tax and accounting obligations (10 years for accounting documents).

2.4. Recipients and data transfers

Your data may be shared with the following processors, strictly for the purposes indicated:

  • Netlify, Inc. (USA, with EU infrastructure) — site hosting, access logs and form submission collection (Netlify Forms).
  • Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC (EU/USA) — Google Analytics 4, only if you accepted analytics cookies. Aggregate traffic data, with anonymized IP.
  • Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) — DNS and network abuse protection.
  • Calendly LLC (USA) — only if you use the booking link. Processed separately, per Calendly's policy.
  • Email providers (Google Workspace / other provider) — for delivering messages sent to radu@refinedvalue.ro.

Transfers to the USA are made under the protection of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission.

We do not sell, rent or share personal data with third parties. We do not use personal data for automated profiling or targeted advertising.

2.5. Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access (Art. 15) — to know what data we process about you.
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16) — to request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Right to erasure / "right to be forgotten" (Art. 17) — within the limits of legal retention obligations.
  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18).
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20).
  • Right to object (Art. 21) to processing based on legitimate interest.
  • Right to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
  • Right to lodge a complaint with ANSPDCP — www.dataprotection.ro.

2.6. How to exercise your rights

For any request related to personal data, write to radu@refinedvalue.ro. We respond within a maximum of 30 calendar days of receiving the request, per Art. 12(3) GDPR. If the request is complex, the deadline may be extended by another 60 days, with prior notice.

2.7. Data security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data: encrypted HTTPS connection, restricted access to correspondence, controlled backups. We do not guarantee absolute security — no system is immune to risk, but we follow industry best practices.

2.8. Minors

The site is not intended for minors under 16 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

2.9. Policy changes

This policy may be updated periodically. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the document. Significant changes will be announced on the site's homepage.

3. Cookie policy

This policy explains how refinedvalue.ro uses (or doesn't use) cookies and similar technologies, in accordance with Romanian Law 506/2004 and Directive 2002/58/EC (ePrivacy).

3.1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by the websites you visit. They're commonly used to make websites function correctly, remember user preferences, or analyze browsing behavior.

3.2. What cookies we use

By default, we do not set any analytics or marketing cookies. The site shows a banner where you choose: "Accept" or "Essentials only." Nothing is activated before your choice.

  • Essential — a small preference stored locally (your banner choice). Doesn't require consent and doesn't track browsing.
  • Analytics — Google Analytics 4 (optional, only after "Accept") — sets cookies such as _ga and _ga_*, lasting up to 2 years, for aggregate traffic statistics (pages visited, source, device), with anonymized IP. If you choose "Essentials only," these cookies are not set at all.
  • Marketing / advertising — we don't use these. No remarketing pixels, no Ads.

You can change your mind at any time: delete cookies from your browser (see 3.5) and the banner will reappear on your next visit.

3.3. External services that may set their own cookies

When you use links to external services on the Contact page (LinkedIn, Calendly), you're redirected to those platforms, which apply their own cookie and privacy policies:

3.4. Future changes

If we add marketing tools in the future (e.g. Google Ads, Meta Pixel), we'll include them in the consent banner as a separate category, with opt-out as simple as opt-in — per GDPR and Law 506/2004. This policy will be updated before any such technologies are activated.

4. Terms of service

Refined Value (Natural Soilutions S.R.L.) provides operational consulting and digital tool development services — web apps, CRMs, automation, chatbots. These are the general terms governing our collaboration.

4.1. Who it's for

The services are primarily aimed at business clients (companies, entrepreneurs, managers) — a B2B relationship. The site is not an online store: no products are sold and no payments are collected online.

4.2. How collaborations are contracted

Every collaboration begins with a conversation establishing scope, deliverables, timeline and price. Based on this conversation, a proposal is sent, and the engagement is formalized in writing (accepted proposal or services agreement) before work begins. Price estimates from the site's tools are indicative; the firm price is set in the proposal.

4.3. Payment

Payment method and terms are set out in the proposal or contract (typically an upfront deposit and the remainder on delivery or by milestone). Invoices are issued by Natural Soilutions S.R.L.

4.4. Delivery and timelines

Timelines are agreed on a per-project basis and work is done in short iterations, with intermediate deliveries. Delays caused by missing information or feedback from the client extend the timeline accordingly.

4.5. Ownership and source code

Upon full payment, the source code and resulting data belong to the client, with no vendor lock-in. The provider's own tools and components, used as a foundation, remain the provider's property.

4.6. Warranties and limitations

The provider delivers functional, tested solutions, but does not guarantee specific business outcomes — these also depend on external factors (market, internal execution, data quality). Liability is limited to the value of the service provided. The provider makes no unrealistic promises.

4.7. Changes and cancellations

Changes in scope during the engagement are agreed separately (time and cost). Cancelling an ongoing collaboration must be communicated in writing; work completed up to that point is invoiced.

5. Consumer protection (ANPC / ODR)

Refined Value is primarily aimed at business clients (B2B). To the extent a client qualifies as a consumer (a natural person), they may turn to the following for dispute resolution:

  • ANPC — the Romanian National Authority for Consumer Protection: anpc.ro.
  • ODR — the European Online Dispute Resolution platform (European Commission): ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
